Lets take a look at PolarityGamers Top 5 potential sleeper hits in Q3/Q4 of 2009
We sure saw some big guns in this year’s E3, all three platforms are pulling out their aces in a race for gamer’s money. However, there are gems hidden within all the media coverage we saw. Here are the top 5 potential sleeper hits.
5.Hei$t (PS3,360,PC. Q4 2009)
Hei$t is an open-world game developed by Codemaster. Set in 1960, player will experience the rich 60’s San Fransico as a notorious bank robber. From the official description, players can choose to rob a bank at anytime, control a crew, drive fear and respect into the hearts of local citizens. The gameplay sounds amazing, and the screenshot looks top notch as well.

4. Blur (PS3, 360, PC. Q4 2009)
Mix Mario Kart and Need for Speed together? Blur is a racing game developed by Bizarre Creations, the same team that work on Project Gotham Racing. In Blur the player races 19 other cars and gets Power-ups on the track (just like Mario kart) and stores them for a Combo attack or uses the power-ups right away. The multi-player supports up to 20 players, and locally up to 4 player via split screen.

3. Aion (PC. Sep 22, 2009)
Aion is the newest MMO-RPG developed by NCsoft, the maker of Lineage 2, Guild Wars and City of Heroes. Aion is definitely the best looking MMO right now. The game features a large fantastic-looking world, a detailed character creation tool and mind-blowing item customization. The character’s fluid animation outshines other MMO’s repetitive hack-and-slash motion. Aion might be able to cut into World of Warcraft’s market, if the game is as good as it looks.

2. Alpha Protocol(PS3, 360, PC. October 2009)
Alpha Protocol is developed by Obsidian Entertainment, the maker of Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic 2. Alpha Protocol is an espionage RPG that take place all around the world. There are tons of exotic locations to visit, and a lot of action sequences to play out. The game has a 007 vibe that make this game second on our potential sleeper hits. So far only a few trailers have been shown to the public, so many things about the game are still unknown. However, if this game has a great story, it could be the direct contender against Bioware’s action RPGs.

1. Demon’s Souls(PS3. Q3 2009)
This game is already out in Japan, and got many positive reviews over seas. Demon’s Soul is an action RPG that puts player in a Gothic underworld. Players need to use wits, skills and patience to get through dungeons and epic boss fights. The game features a unique online system, where players can leave notes and their actions for other players. Players can also start a 3 man team to take down some of the harder bosses, as well as start a player vs player (pvp) session to put their skills to the test.

Hm…looks like you’re ignoring the Wii again.
Cave Story looks like it’ll probably fall into this category quite nicely.
Good list but you should really look into Edge of Twilight, it looks like it could defiantly be a good game but since its from an unknown developer I’m thinking it will be a great sleeper hit.
Aight, I will check it out.
